Best Iced Chai recipe! Only one you will need.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 3 tsp of your favorite Chai Spice blend
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 5 tsp of sugar (or more, as per your taste)
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
  2. Add 3 tsp of the chai spice blend and let it boil for 3 minutes.
  3. Add 1 cup of milk and bring it to a rolling boil, then simmer for 3 minutes.
  4. Add 5 tsp of sugar, or more as per your taste, and swirl to mix.
  5. Strain the mixture over ice for a refreshing iced chai. Alternatively, blend it with vanilla ice cream for a decadent iced chai frappe.

  1. Turn your bag upside down a few times before brewing. The powdered spices can settle during transit.
  2. Bring the water to a complete boil before adding your Chai Spice Tea.
  3. Looking for that extra kick? Add freshly grated ginger and/or 1/4 tsp black pepper while boiling tea leaves.
  4. Do not boil tea in water for over 5 mins. Overcooking the tea makes the tea leaves release their tannins and make the chai bitter.
